About Quick play spells?

i knew it can be played anytime but i think
mystical space typhon destroy the card(spell\trap)
but don't negate the effect of the card which is activated
i mean i activated brain control and he activated his quick spell
so my eff still works because it didn't negate my eff?

well it dosnt negate considering they are the same speed

Yea i dueled with ALAHW and he active brain control

i can des his spell with MST cuz it's a Q-P spell card.

any 1 have a right rules from netrep plz put it

Mystical Space Typhoon only destroys the card. It doesn't negate the
effect. It says on the card "Destroy one spell or trap card on the
field."

The cards effect doesn't say anything about negating an effect of
another spell or trap
